You will be picked up from your hotel in an air-conditioned minibus and taken for a Great Ocean Road tour from Melbourne. An English-speaking guide will accompany you on this tour.
The following is a tentative itinerary break-up:
0915h (09:15am): Arrive at the famous Bells Beach. There will be an approx. 20 minutes’ halt here. Visit Australia’s most famous surfing beach and view some of the local surfing action.
1000h (10:00am): Arrive at Eastern View or the Great Ocean Road Arch. There will be an approx. 10 minutes photo opportunity at the Great Ocean Road Memorial Arch. You can also take a short walk on the beach.
1045h (10:45am): Arrive at Lorne for an approx. 25 minutes morning tea break (included) overlooking the picturesque Loutit Bay.
1145h (11:45am): Arrive at the Great Otway National Park (behind Kennet River). Spend approx. 20 minutes here, enjoying the opportunity to spot the abundant local koalas during a pleasant walk through a sweetly-scented eucalyptus forest.
1230h (12:30noon): Arrive Apollo Bay for an included restaurant lunch and opportunity to explore this seaside village.
1330h (1:30pm): Arrive at the Maits Rest Rainforest Walk. You will enjoy an approx. 35 minutes’ guided tour of the cool temperate rainforest, surrounded by towering Mountain Ash trees.
1500h (3:00pm): Arrive at the Twelve Apostles. Spend the next approx. 45 minutes taking in the breathtaking rock formation which has become a natural icon.
1600h (4:00pm): Arrive at Loch Ard Gorge for an approx. 40 minutes’ halt. Loch Ard Gorge is one of the more dramatic attractions on the Great Ocean Road in Australia, most famous for the Twelve Apostles.
1700h (5:00pm): Arrive at London Bridge for a brief approx. 15 minutes’ stop. View the remains of London Bridge and hear the tale of its collapse.
1815h (6:15pm): Arrive at Colac and enjoy a 30-minute dinner break (payable direct).
2045h (8:45pm) – 2100h (9:00pm): Arrive in Melbourne where you will be dropped off at the starting point.
